SANITATION

The project has provided the community with a toilet block which treats waste in a septic tank.

The facility is managed by the community through a committee of local people and local stakeholders.

Use of the facility is free with income from the RHF funding running costs.

Clear deliverables, outcome and indicators in the project proposal gives direction to project implementation.

Sufficient funds for every target activities makes a smooth implementation and become more innovative and intentional to its key result.

Regular collaboration and coordination with Barangay Council and Water and Sanitation Committee is important factor for the success in the implementation of every activities.

Lobbying community activity to Barangay Council gains their support for project implementation as well as acknowledging the big help of Signpost Philippines Inc. (SPI) extended in their community.

Capacity building through trainings and seminars, help strengthened WSC and Blockleaders and capacitate them as partners in project implementation.

Vision, Mission, and Goals conducted to stakeholders gives them a clear vision of the project goals and objectives and the importance of their involvement and participation.

Monthly meeting and monitoring to community volunteers strengthen them as partners, thus gain support, cooperation and teamwork. Further, making them felt the ownership of the project.

Designation of regular care takers of two facilities.

Addressing problems and concerns on a proper venue considering the culture of community people.
